Hand-strung, bead by bead. Every bead is natural wood — matte, warm, with its own grain. No two are identical, because nothing carved from a tree ever is. You feel the difference the moment it's on your wrist.
Cast in solid antique brass. The St. Benedict medal, the crucifix, the clasp — all struck in brass and finished with a deep antiqued patina, so the Latin sits dark in the recesses and catches light on the raised edges. This is the finish medals have carried for centuries.
No plating to wear off. Brass doesn't flake. It ages. Ten years from now this bracelet will look older than it does today — and that's the point.
Shower with it. Wash dishes in it. Get caught in the rain. The wood is sealed, the brass is solid through, and the clasp holds. This isn't a piece you take off and put in a drawer for safekeeping.
A bracelet you remove every day becomes a bracelet you forget. Protection you have to remember to put on isn't protection. So we built this one to stay on — through work, through sleep, through every ordinary hour that makes up a life.
The medal of St. Benedict has been worn for over 1,500 years. Monks wore it. Families wore it. Every letter around its edge is a prayer — Vade Retro Satana, Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux — words spoken by people who believed light answers darkness, and who wanted that answer close to the skin.
It arrives ready to give. Each bracelet comes in a soft cotton pouch with a card explaining every Latin inscription, so whoever opens it understands exactly what they're holding — and what you meant by giving it.
Some things get handed down without anyone choosing them. Fear. Anger. The same hard patterns, generation after generation. This is a way to hand down something you did choose.
I bought this the month after my mother died. She had a St Benedict medal on her keyring for as long as I can remember, and after the funeral I kept thinking about all the things in our family she carried and prayed about quietly on her own. Wearing this feels like picking up where she left off. I cried when it arrived, in a good way. The cross is heavier than I imagined and I like that — it doesn't feel like a trinket.
Bought three, one for me and one for each of my sons, both in their twenties. There are patterns in our family I'd rather not see repeated and this was my way of saying that out loud without making a speech about it. Both of them wear theirs. Four stars because mine sits a bit loose on my wrist and I'd have liked a size option or an adjustable link — the boys' fit fine, so it may just be me.
Our prayer group is doing a thirty three day consecration and I wanted something tangible to mark it, so I bought this at the start. The St Benedict medal is exactly what I wanted — properly detailed, not a flat stamped disc like the cheap ones I've seen online. It sits nicely with the size of my wrist too, I have quite small wrists and it wasn't swimming on me. Delivery was faster than the estimate.
I run the men's group at our parish and I ordered a batch of these to hand out at the start of our study on spiritual warfare. Eleven men, eleven bracelets, and every one of them arrived in good condition and identical. The lads have taken to it far more than I expected — a few of them who barely spoke in the first sessions now come in and mention they've been praying on it during the week. Excellent value for what you get.
Third purchase from this shop after the Miraculous Medal necklace and the scapular. Consistency is what keeps me coming back — same quality, same care in how it's packed, every time. This one might be my favourite of the three. I wear it stacked with a plain chain bracelet and it looks intentional rather than mismatched. Arrived in six days.
Lovely bracelet, my daughter is sixteen and she genuinely loves it, wears it to school and to youth group. Only reason I'm not giving five stars is the packaging arrived a bit crushed on one corner, so I had to move it into a different box before giving it to her. The bracelet itself was completely fine and the quality is very good for the price. Would order again, just hoping for sturdier packaging next time.
